Now you know a summary about "THE QUINCEAÑERA TEXT".
This summary was very important because we have to identify the tone and mood of this story .For the people that don’t know what tone is and mood? Tone is an attitude of a writer toward a subject or an audience. Tone is generally conveyed through the choice of words or the viewpoint of a writer on a particular subject, and mood is the atmosphere of a piece of writing .it’s the emotions a selection arouses in a reader.
Now we identify what tone is present in the story .The tone that is appreciative and reflective, the tone was appreciative and reflective in this part (“I ran my fingers across the leather cover, tracing the word “Recetas. It may not have been a cellphone , but it spoke to me all the same “) I think that this  phrase are connecting with that two words because the author transmit that Ana  finally understand what its better ,what it more important to her culture and herself .And the mood are disappointing and optimistic .

Disappointing because she  don’t want a party like that and optimistic because she understand that is more important the family .The phrase that are connecting with disappointing is in this part (“For a second ,I felt a shiver of resentment ,remembering Consuela`s Quinceañera (…..)It’s OK .If Papa hadn’t lost his job, then maybe it would be different .BUT I REALLY DON’T CARE”, and the phrase that are connecting with optimistic is (“I like it very much .Will you teach some of Juanita’s recipes? (…….) It may not have been a cell phone, but it spoke to me all the same “)

Imagine that you are escaping from the Nazi people in France, describe your journey, step by step, from the streets of Paris, through the Mosque, to freedom. Guiding questions: When were you smuggled into the mosque?, How did you get out of the mosque?, Where did you end up?, What kind of boat did they put you on?, Where did they hide you? UPLOAD A PICTURE that you can relate to your narrative.

I'm going to tell a story from my past, something that I really frame. So they understand better I am a Jewish, through the work of fate, I lived in France, something no doubt terrifying I didn't know that years later to go to France, the situation became ugly. Germans especially the Nazis sought to all Jews to capture them. All them Jewish walked carefully, I already not came out of my house, so unique that could see was a cat outside of my window, all was desolate. Three days after that I stay at home a group of Nazi people were very close to my house, I almost caught, but a group of people called Kabyles helped me to get out of there and hide me through some tunnels that I never imagine existed, really don't want you anyone passing by this. The days passed and actually achieve me fond of these people. They helped me to leave Paris by a technique that at this time do not tell you it but only to say that we use a few barrels to reach the boat, sincerely I do not remember as it was the ship nor how many people were there, only I remember when a person me bag the barrel when we arrived in Ecuador, where we would start a new life.

What connections do you find between the passage The Grand Mosque of Paris and the KEY CONCEPT of the unit (connections), and how is it also related with the KEY CONCEPTS of units 1 and 2 (Culture and Creativity)?

Before we start talking about the connection about the story with the concept of unity, I am going to talk about the story was about. The Grand Mosque of Paris is the story of the Muslim community of Paris during the Nazi occupation of World War II and their efforts to rescue Jews. The mosque constructed in 1926 had space for a community center, library, restaurant, clinic and apartments for the functionaries. It was built upon a labyrinth of subterranean tunnels and rooms, areas that had been excavated for building stones for the city of Paris. These underground passages and catacombs served as hiding places and escape routes for those hunted by the French police and Gestapo. The rescue and escape of Jews was under the leadership of the Rector, Si Kaddour Benghabrit, and a sophisticated Algerianborn diplomat, who was considered the most powerful Muslim in France at the time. The clerics provided sanctuary, certificates of Muslim identity and safe passage for those who sought their help. It is noted that at least 100 Jews, downed Allied airmen, Resistance fighters and escaped prisoners of war, were also spirited to safety. These righteous saviors deserve to be honored and their deeds told. The association between the key concept of the unit (connections) with the story is that we can link the second war with this story we can understand this story because we have seen this topic, and the other key concept of the units that we can connects are Culture and Creativity. Why these? Because in this story we see culture of the Jewish and also we can see creativity to see how incredible they devised plans.
